I just finished reading Wonder by R.J. Palacio. (I think that's a pen name) It's about a boy named August, who goes by Auggie, with a "craniofacial abnormality", which basically means that his face is, not trying to be mean, deformed. His first year of school is fifth grade, before that he was home-schooled because of his surgeries. Anyway, it was the most touching book I've read in a really long time, and I think it would be great to read it in the book club.

Some times the people who make movies change the ages of characters, like in the book Ender's Game, Ender is a six year-old in the beginning, but in the movie they changed it so he was a twelve year-old
