I asked Jennifer if Riversun has the Starfire and on Twitter she confirmed that she does. Jennifer wants to write a story about Riversun and her Starfire. But she hasn't gotten the opportunity.

True Flamefrost, like how didn't tell me whether whe intended STARLEAF or BRACKENLEAF to happen becauee she was worries she'd spoil it for us if she writes about Anok in the FUTURE. And she said IF! AAAAAAA XDDDD

I think a few people already have but I don't know. She probably won't give a direct answer because she doesn't want to spoil things if/when she writes about Anok again.

Star may not have starfire, but if he were to have a foal. It had to be black. We dont know if Star is dominant or recesive because he was from the hundred year star. But if a black foal were born and dint have the starfire... what would happen in the future? All the pegasi would not have starfire and black foals would be commen. It would be messy. If foals did have starfire, their ability to be immortal would also mess up the circle... but their must be a limit like if a half black foal (Riversun) were to mate with a random stallion. have a half HALF black foal and then it goes on. The trait would end slowly because the foal wouldnt be born PURE black. o.o

these are all very direct, but i think the pegasi will recieve more black foals with the starfire

What I believe:

1. That the Hundred Year Star would run like normal, and although Star lost his Starfire, that shouldn’t affect anything but Star

2. Riversun will receive her Starfire on her first birthday but not with the Hundred Year Star. The starfire will spark in her gut, and it’ll grow. But, she won’t have all the powers Starfire brings. Like no shield, invisibility.. only healing and destroying

3. Starleaf’s foal will not have the Starfire, but he/she will have a coat that has black on it

4. If Riversun has a foal with a regular stallion, he/she will not have starfire because Riversun didnt have but still have a blackish coat. Eventually Riversun’s descendants’ black coats will wear off.

but anyway, here's my stuff on that subject:

What confuses me about the Starleaf ship is

a) Would it be possible for their foal to have starfire?

b) can a foal be black and NOT have the starfire?

c) can a foal have a foal have a black parent (like Riversun) and NOT get the starfire?

Riversun's parents are Nightwing and Petalcloud, and what I'm wondering is if a black pegasus that had the starfire had a foal with a pegasus that doesn't have the starfire, would their foal automatically have the starfire? would it get it on its first birthday? and what about Star? his starfire seemed to disappear when he killed Nightwing, so if he had a foal, would it get the starfire?

and according to Jennifer Lynn Alvarez, we don't actually know if Riversun has the starfire my general hypothesis is that if a black pegasus with starfire mated with a pegasus that doesn't have it, their foal wouldn't be black and wouldn't have starfire but if two black pegasi with the starfire, a stallion and a mare, had a foal, I think it would be black and would have the starfire from birth but that doesn't bring in Star, since he lost his power fighting Nightwing. If he was a sire with a no-starfire steed, then I think their foal might be black (or black and white pinto) but it wouldn't have starfire, but if he had a foal with another black pegasus that DID have the starfire it would be the same as two black pegasi with starfire
