@Meadowleaf Desert Herd is very guarded when it comes to their bloodlines. Most of them can't choose their own mates because of it. However, since *Windborn Spoiler* almost all the herds are now part of one big herd, I doubt that this will be a tradition that sticks so I don't see why not you can't be both
I got Sun Herd, but I also got Desert Herd. I wish I could be a mix of both but in one of the TGH books it says you cant, right?
