(ya ik this isn't a TGH post but I just need to get this off my chest)
Alright, so, last Monday, I was walking my puppy my normal one mile route, (I've walked this like 90 times) I reached the end of the street a guy in a car said "Cute dog, what breed is it?" and I replied with "Border Collie," and continued walking back down the street,
the guy turned around in the car, and pulled up to me, (SCARY PART)
HE SAID, "you're cute, how old are you?"
(Me being scared and can't think of a lie or not or not knowing if it was best to lie or not) I responded with "14"
THEN THIS FRIKEN 30-40 YEAR OLD DUDE SAID "You into older guys? you really are cute"
then I started calling 911 and he drove off, I was able to get a partal plate, modle of car, and description of the dude,
so now I'm way to scared to go walking down the street my normal mile walk, and my social anxiety in stores has been a lot worse,
my mind has s been like "Are they following me? are they looking at me? are they folklowing me?"
I can barely stay in a store for more than 15 minutes.
soooo yeah, my anxiety has been up so has my stress,
I know this is late but I am so so sorry. I've never had something like this happen to me but I have had some boys say something inappropriate to me. Maybe you should teach your dog to fight and then when he tries it again, the dog can protect you and bite the guy. I know that if a guy did this to me while I was walking Tucker, Tucker would attack the man. Plus I think having a Pitbull scares off people, I know it scares off UPS men when your dog accidentally escapes the backyard and all he wants to do is lick the man but that man is too busy screaming bc a Pitbull is lunging at him
This is an old post lol XD. ( Me casually doing a Home Alone 2 purse whack on this guy.)
Holy crap this happened like 8 months ago and I still have pretty bad PTSD from this =/
As in I can't even walk near the place it happened, I'm frightened to even walk my dog,
I get really over paranoid now when it comes to strangers, like super, super over paranoid, not like the normal wariness people have
I over think what they are doing and stuff I hate it.
I hate it when strangers mostly men walk by me in the stores way way more than I used to.
Intrusive thoughts of what happend like my mind replays what happened and its hard for me to stop it.
Whenever I see a mini-van simular to the one the guy drove I start getting an anxiety attack.
And lastly, I sometimes get hallucinations.
(Very late like always)Oh no..... I’m so sorry that happened to you I lucky haven’t experience anything to close to that but still that’s really scary and I’m glad you told a adult...
UPDATE
So, the guy was found by police (They called and updated us today) he WAS on the registered S*x offender list but he got marked off it for (however they get marked off) so there was technically no crime, BUT, the officer is going to talk to the dude that it's not alright to do that.
Wow. Okay, that guy is disgusting and you were really smart to start calling. Some people....
This sucks! Why are there people in this world that think this is ok or even contemplate this sort of thing. I have had people look at me in a way that sends shivers up my spine and it is scary. Especially when you are alone. I am so glad you are ok and i am sending prayers your way and to all the other girls and boys who go through this, and worse.
OH MAN! This is terrible...I'm sorry it happened to you. I'll be praying that this never happens to you again.
Wow that is scary... I'm glad you're ok!
Holy peg, that guy sounds gross. It sucks that that happened to you, I probably would've freaked, given the guy a dirty look, and ran.
I'm praying for you that things get better.
Oh god I think you should make sure to look around you and If that guy is following you again Call 911 or walk strait back to your house
Geese it sucks that happened to you, and I'm glad you're alright. Some people are really degusting. I actually had something kinda sorta like this happen to me once. A random guy in like his 50s walked up to me while I was walking and abruptly asked if he could buy my dog off of me, which isn't nearly as bad, but still, I was pretty freaked out. As a result, I now go way out of my way to avoid going anywhere near the area this happened without at least one other person being with me. It really sucks that people think they can do stuff like that. I will say though, good thinking on first of all calling someone (that's actually a really good thing to do if you're in a situation where you feel unsafe about something and it doesn't necessarily have to be 911 either) and also getting down as much information as possible (you never know what stuff you'll need to recall for later).
Also, to maybe give you some peace of mind, here are I few tips I've heard of that may help you be a bit safer on your walks:
Change your rout and/or the times you go walking frequently
Tell someone where/when you're going
Use a fitness tracker that tracks your location (be careful with this one)
If possible walk where there are other people
Walk with a sense of purpose. Not like you're running, but like you have a place to be and you're on a mission to get there
ooooh gosh, that's terrible. if you see him again either run or punch him for me
I'm so sorry that happened, that guy is beyond disgusting.
That sounds scary. I am so sorry.
I'm so sorry that happened
Oh gosh,
(BTW I already told my parents about this)
