Moonheart opened her eyes, she groaned, straining her eyes to make shape of the muddy colors floating around her. "What happened?" Stormflight pressed her side with his wing. "Don't get up, your hurt." Windsun trotted by laying a pile of fruits on the forest floor. "A guard went after you, whammed ya in the head, Starfrost fought them off. Stormflight perked his ears. "You don't remember?" Moonheart shook her head. "Starfrost chased the rest the opposite way we were going so we could take care of you, he is unharmed, he should be gathering more plants, fruits, and shrubs." Moonheart relaxed as her best friend explained. She wanted to use her starfire, but it wasn't time to lure Riversun to the herd. Suddenly Moonheart and her friends heard a rustling of leaves. She jolted upright, her fast movement hurting her head. Suddenly a shape came through the foggy forest, "BRACKENTAIL!?" Her friends yelled. "Brackentail!" Moonheart galloped toward him. Starfrost finally emerged from the bushes. "What's he doing here?" The shimmering white yearling asked. Moonheart explained, "As much as I hate him, he offered to help us." Windsun stamped her hooves "So he is asking for a 3rd change eh?" "No, he offers no forgiveness, he is softening up Riversun so it will be easier to make her back down during the battle, just support." Stormflight and the rest didn't look satisfied. Moonheart sighed, she didn't blame them. She would not make the same mistake Morningleaf did. "It's only temperary. Whats your news Brackentail?" Brackentail lowered his head. "Riversun and her guards are looking for you, from where we are were almost home. We are in the trap, travel west from here, I'll continue my work." Just like that he flew off leaving Moonheart and her friends in the dust. Moonheart exhaled, long and slow. I'm feeling a lot better. Lets rest and eat for the rest of the day." Moonheart and her friends nodded. Moonheart hadn't asked if Starfrost was alright. As if reading her mind he said. "I'm fine Moonheart, the guards are searching the Red Rock Mountains." Moonheart studied his expression, he looked as if the guards said something. She guessed it was a quote about Frostfire, his father who once was Star's enemy. She simply nodded and returned to replenishing her energy. It was almost time.
