Last comment from part 1-
Braircloud: She looked at Ripplestep with big eyes, he had helped through a rough time before maybe he could do it again. She thought of every time the stallion had said the right words at the right time, ”Violetray has your coat and Frostflower your eyes.” A tear rolling down her cheek “what kind of mother am I if I can’t even protect my daughter.” She said sadness clear in her voice
” I had almost lost her.” Ripplestep pressed his muzzle against Briarcloud’s “but you didn’t.” His voice steady and strong, they just laid like that in a few minutes, Briarcloud rose “ I said I could prove it.” A voice came from behind, she spun in a circle Bravefire grinning “ nice to see you Blossom.”
Frostweed:
He woke up early in the morning, just as dawn was about to break, and yawned. He looked down at his sister who was tucked under his wing, sleeping soundly. He smiled, and gently stood up, careful not to wake her, and began to roll in the sand a little ways away.
Hawkstride:
He made it back to the herd where everything was mostly calm, a few frightened foals and a couple anxious mares, but mostly calm. He found his sister grazing alone and he became concerned. Ambersnip is never alone! She's always with a friend of some sort! Hawkstride cantered over to her and nickered a friendly greeting.
Ambersnip:
She lifted her head to the familiar nicker of her brother. She smiled and nickered to him, "Hey!!! HAwkstride! I missed you! Where did you go?" She asked, nuzzling her younger brother.
Hawkstride: "I learned how to fly in tight spaces! Shellmist showed me how."
Ambersnip: She chuckled knowingly. "Sounds like fun. You look exhausted! C'mon. Let's get some sleep."
( ooooffff sorry I didn't see your comment until just now xD )
Shellmist:
Her eyes flew wide. "Holy mother of snakes! I completely forgot!" She whinnied. She jumped into the sky, but then turned around and called down to Hawkstride. "Would you like to go and fly with us, or would you prefer to sleep?" She asked.
Solarray-
After the long eventful day, Solarray trotted off to find his sister whom he had barley spoken to all day. "How's it goin?." he neighed as he approached her.
"Good." responded Lunarstorm, "I'm just a little perplexed about Bravefire. I still can't believe he would turn like that, even if he did have a good reason."
Solarray nodded, "I'm glad that it didn't turn out worse then it did."
"True." agreed Lunarstorm, just before she gave out a tired sounding nicker, "I'm beat. What do you say we turn in?"
Solarray yawned, "Yes please." he said, knowing that he was thoroughly worn out.
Rainfire-
It had been an extremely tiring day with all the drama and chasing. He trotted over a tree and flew up to one of the only branches that would support him. He liked to sleep in the trees like the big cats. It was very peaceful from the trees. As soon as he laid his head down he was asleep.
(Can we just say we found Blackwing and that he is under guard cause I actually want to continue this RP)
(and if i read it all day, I would know it by heart!😱
( XDDD )
( What happened to this. I think we are waiting for Cats. Cats we neeeeed youuuuuuuuu)
Stormfire-
She glided on the current looking for Blackwing so that he could deal with Bravefire. Coraleaf and Ambersnip where chatting to each other. As they passed pebble creek, which branched off of rain river, they saw Hawkstride and Shellmist playing and splashing joyfully at each other. She remembered what it was like to have a best friend. She and Rainfire had been very close when they were foals, but when Rainfire became lead captain, he changed. He never had time to hang out with her like they used to. And when she joined the army as a battle mare captain she barley even saw him besides for when she was reporting, or taking orders. She took a deep breath and sighed, as she stared up at the heights, where the blue sky turns black.
"Im gonna go up and get a better view." Before they could answer she blasted off, pumping her large wings.
She flattened her neck and strained her eyes to see without the powerful sun blinding her. She pumped her wings harder and harder and rose higher and higher. She kept rising in altitude till she couldn't breath and the sun's rays melted her hooves. Then she free fell, letting the wind scatter her mane and ruffle her feathers. Suddenly she caught the current and soared across quake herd, scanning the trees miles below her hooves. She felt a tug of wind above her and knew it was the jet stream. She loved riding jet streams, even thought few could ride them. But here in quake herd even some yearlings knew how to ride them. She had been one of those yearlings. She entered the stream and shot across the land keeping her nose straight and wings close. In her peripheral vision she saw what looked like Applefly. She carefully exited the jet stream and called for Ambersnip and Craleaf in the shy herder language that only sky herders knew.
Shellmist-
She snorted. "How about we don't die down there, then?" She said with a small wave of her tail, a smile on her face.
Hawkstride:
He nudged the rock with his muzzle before following her back to the surface. His head broke the surface and he inhaled deeply. "If we're not careful, we gon' die in here." His said, his voice kidding and comedic.
Shellmist:
She nudged it with her snout, and then she was aware of the burning climbing up her throat. She jerked forward, pointed to the surface with her wing, and swam to the top. She burst through the surface and took in deep gulps of breath. She hadn't realized how long she'd been down there, and coughed to rid her throat of the now warmer water.
Hawkstride followed her down towards the bottom and drifted next to her, both staring at the glittering rocks that lay below the surface. "I wonder how they get to be so pretty."
Shellmist:
She grinned at him, feeling refreshed from their flight already. She dived deeper, opening her eyes as wide as she could to stare at the fish and rocks on the bottom. She swam a little deeper, staring at the rocks. She gestured for him to come down as she stared at beautiful, smooth dark blue rock that shimmered under the water.
Hawkstirde:
His embarrassment melted away. He squealed and dashed for the lake. He jumped him, dousing Shellmist in a wave of water. He breached the surface and laughed. He dove under again and swam underneath Shellmist, looking up at her refracted figure in the water. He paddled toward the surface again, trying to use his wings pulled closer to his body, like he did while flying through tight spaces. "I'll get better. I probably looked like a fat monkey trying to weave my way through all those trees." He thought, frowning.
( Sorry that was so long ;-; )
Shellmist-
She pricked her ears forward, craning her neck into a graceful arch. She cocked her head. "I'm not sure," she said. Then she pressed a wingtip to her cheek. Then she remembered something that she had learned while watching Applefly work on a weanling foal's scraped leg. She had made doused the 'wound' in cold water, numbing it. She wasn't sure if that same technique would work on her cheek, but it definitely would lower the intensity level long enough for them to find Applefly to look at it.
"I think I have an idea to help the wound. Applefly must be busy anyways with the medicine mare's disappearance," she said, flicking her tail in thought. She trotted towards a small creek, dipped her head down, and drank the water from the creek. It was cold, as she suspected, and soothed her sore cheek. She sighed, because the cold felt nice for once. Then an overwhelming urge to jump in the creek overtook her, and so she did, splashing the bank as her powerful wings sliced into the water.
She snorted as she resurfaced, spraying water everywhere, her forelock draped across her blaze. "C'mon! The water feels great!" She whinnied to Hawkstride. She dove back under, spreading out her wings and pretending to be a Desert Steed, flying high than the trees, higher than the clouds. She felt a pang of self pity at how horribly she flew in wide open spaces. Then she amended with herself by promising to start exercising higher in the air until she could fly as comfortably in wide open spaces as she did when in tight spaces.
Hawkstride:
He tensed and felt a hot blush creep up to his cheeks. He bit his lip to keep from staring at her. "Uh-erm...Heh...Yeah..." He stuttered, cocking a half smile. "Uh-Where's Applyfly? She's usually right here." He asked, looking around, trying to stuff the sudden embarrassment down into the back of his mind.
( XD )
Stormfire-
She watched Coraleaf, confused by her trotting and not flying. Soon Coraleaf remembered she could fly and sprung into the air....... only to land near her her friend. Stormfire chuckled and flew over to Ambersnip and Coraleaf. Sinse it was clear Ambersnip was helping she didn't bother asking for her to help. " Any Idea wher he is Ambersnip, we haven't seen him for a while." she asked the sky herder.
Ambersnip:
She was standing alone on the border of the meadow, tracing her hoof over the ground. She startled as she heard a voice next to her that wasn't there before. But, she relaxed when she saw that it was Coraleaf. "Oh! Yeah. Sure. I can help!" She said, a huge grin spreading across her face. "Any ideas on where he went?' She asked, feeling relieved to have someone to talk to.
(Technically the boys and girls thing is fillies and colts or mares and stallions.)
Coraleaf-
Coraleaf trotted around looking for the over-stallion, she suddenly stopped. What am I doing? She thought, I have wings of course, I'm not a horse. Ha! That rimes! Coraleaf lifted off and circled the area. She looked down and saw Ambersnip all by herself; Coraleaf glided down and landed in front of her. "Hey Ambersnip! I'm looking for the over-stallion, I could use some help! If you don't have anything to do."
Hawkstide:
His eyes danced and his feathers curled. "If it is, I'll win." He said, tilting his head in her direction. "Besides, you better be nice to the birthday colt. I'm turning 2 in a moon." He said, raising his head up high and pranced the rest of the way towards Applefly, moving from side to side to try and distract Shellmist.
Shellmist:
She pinned her ears, a competitive grin grazing her features. "Is that a challenge?" She asked.
Hawkstride chuckled again, but then his brow scrunched up like he smelled something gross or heard a sound he'd never heard before. "You don't understand me? Are you kidding?" He swished his tail and rolled his eyes. "You're the one with a cut and swollen cheek and yet you're considering whether or not to go see the medicine mare? Huh...yeah. I don't get girls either." Hawkstride challenged, smirking.
Shellmist:
She cocked her, squinting at him. "You don't believe I can beat you and yet you think I should go and get my cheek checked out? I will never understand the feelings of boys...." she snorted as she carressed her cheek and considered going to see Applefly.
Hawkstride relaxed and chuckled. "Surrrreeee you will." He said sarcastically. "That's what everyone says, but I am the champion!" He added, fluttering his wings and arching his copper neck. He glanced at her cheek again. "You should still go to Applyfly and get it checked out. Just to be sure."
Shellmist:
She blushed. "I grazed it on a branch and accidentally bit the inside of it. I'm sure it's fine," she said. She grinned at him. "Congrats on winning. I promise I'll beat you next time," she said, giving him a determined look.
Shellmist:
She gasped as her friend shot across the sky, more handsome then ever. She blushed, but then pinned her ears in determination and shot forward through the trees and out of. The canopy, gliding fast. She knew the forest all too well and dived in at an interval of opened branches. She dodged and ducked and catapulted through the trees, eventually making it out the other side 2 seconds behind Hawkstride, breathing hard and fluttering to the ground. She landed and coughed up something red, and new she must of bit her cheek as it swelled with pus and blood inside her mouth. She spit out even more, wincing at the pain on her left cheek.
Hawkstride smiled again, his eyes twinkling. He rose up even higher, looking for something. Then, he felt a particularly strong gust of wind-the Northern jet stream. "Here we go!" He mumbled, and entered the jet stream. He curved his yellow wings around the wind. He squealed in delight as he blasted over the landscape, passing Shellmist far below him. Hawkstride exhaled. He pinned his wings flat against his side and angled his whole body to the side, exiting the jet stream from and angle. He didn't know if this was the correct way to exit a jet stream, but, as long as he landed on the safely the ground, he didn't care. He blasted out of the wind current and dived toward land, free falling, enjoying the rush of wind pulsating through his veins. The clearing fanned out before him and he felt his heart swell with triumph.
(No, never mind. Forget i said anything lol)
( Oh it's fine. I just don't want to see Ambersnip get brokenhearted, but sure! :D )
Shellmist:
She gaped at him, momentarily stunned. She quickly got over her shock and surged forward, flying right behind him. She ducked, flipped upside down, and flew straight under and came up the other side, flipped back around, and ended up flying just ahead of him. She grinned and flapped harder, determined to win. Soon they passed over the trees, and she angled her wings and dove straight into the tree layer, dodging many trees and branches only by her instincts. Sweat rolled down her hide but dried before it could fall to the ground as she flew faster and faster, getting closer and closer to their destination.
Hawkstride whinnied with joy as her words reached his ears. He smirked and out stretched his wings as far as they could go and he climbed higher. The higher you go, the faster. He pumped his large wings harder and quickly pulled out in front of her, smirking down to her as he passed.
Bravefire: He looked At his broken wing, knowing it would take much time to heal. Bravefire saw every steeds face and they’re reactions to Briarcloud “ are you going to anything about them.” Bravefire asked quietly his question directed to nobody in particular.
Shellmist:
She flicked her ears towards him, and picked up the words "Head, meadow, and hungry," and swiftly nodded to him. She angled her wings delicately and veered around to where she was flying inland, getting ever closer to the forest she so dearly loved. "Race ya!" She shouted, tossing her head as she flattened her neck and flapped harder. She didn't try to fight the wind, but instead used it to propel her forward, almost like a sail. She whinnied in delight as she watched the landscape quickly run by below her.
Hawkstride glanced at the sun. In was well on it's way down toward the other half of the horizon, telling him it was a coulpe hours past noon. He turned to look at Shellmist, who was flying besides him. "Hey! You wanna head back to the meadow?! I'm hungry." He called to her over the searing winds.
Hollyfire-
Hollyfire followed close behind Rainfire, eyeing the stallion, Bravefire.
(Gtg getting ready for a string festival)
Ambersnip frowned. "Aaaaaaaaand I'm alone. Whatever." She resumed preening her feathers, until each feather laid perfectly in place.
She looked around. Every captain and steed who had seen the incident went to capture Bravefire. She rattled her wings and her frowned deepened. "I should go to help them. But, I'm a Sky Herder. I won't be able to do much. Besides, all the captains went to deal with him. And they should be enough to resolve the issue." Ambersnip thought. She shrugged and pushed those thoughts away, looking up towards the blue sky. "Where is that annoying younger brother of mine? He's usually out here in the meadow, either pranking somebody or playing." She mumbled to herself. She looked around again and sighed. "I hate being lonely..." She mumbled again, only softer.
Ambersnip turned and sulked toward the nearest lake.
Coraleaf-
Coraleaf looked at the mare a stallion whinnied at expectantly; waiting for the answer of a denial or an okay.
Strongfire-
Strongfire nodded at Rainfire and went over to them to help, once he got over to both Rainfire and Bravefire. He noticed the youngest of the Sky Herders, Coraleaf, wanting to help, "Is there anything she can do to help," Bravefire whinnied to Rainfire.
(Coraleaf loves to be of use!)
Coraleaf-
Coraleaf's ears flicked toward a stallion talking, "If I can be of any assistance I would like to be of help." The small blue roan filly offered.
Coraleaf hoped that she COULD be of any assistance; she wanted to be as helpful as she could.
(or hoof, XD)
Rainfire-
"Is this true?" he asked. And when he didn't get a response, he knew the answer. It was true. "Either way Bravefire, its a newborn foal!" he scolded. "I'm taking you to Blackwing." He murmured, disapointed. He grabbed the stallions' wing. " Strongfire, wanna give me a hoof"
Coraleaf-
Coraleaf looked in the direction where the commotion was at place. She wanted to go but at same time didn't want to, she was torn between staying out of the way of the older steeds or going and investigating.
Coraleaf decided to get a bit closer, just enough to stay out of the way but yet hear what they were talking about. She glided toward the group; she gasped, the whole group was in shock all staring at a stallion.
Frostweed:
He watched as his sister and her friend flew off, jealousy squeezing his chest. He wished he had that kind of friendship with Applefly, but because she was striving to be a medicine-mare, she wouldn’t have time for friends. He sighed, tucked his wings, and trotted back through the forest.
Eventually, he came out into the same clearing before, still surprised to see the problem with Bravefire and Briarcloud had not subsided.
Hollyfire-
Hollyfire and Hazeltwist both took a sharp breath.
Her mind sank into realization and shock.
Wha- what? How? Why?
The captain trembled. All thoughts vanished as another wave of shock hit her.
Another few minutes, her senses came back.
She spoke.
"Why should we trust you, huh? Yes, it may be that newborn foal was another stallion's daughter... but that doesn't mean you can hurt her! What you did was very wrong, Bravefire. Oh- and perhaps you, Briarcloud, if he really is telling the truth."
