Bhearit: ”Ay! Definitely. There’re so many details to my project, and just a couple hours ago I hit a stump,” he replied and his expression darkened a little when he remembered that fact. He still hadn’t figured out anything, even in all this time.
Sultaan: ”Did you ever get to hold one?” He signed, adjusting the flower behind Reba’s ear when they started walking. “I think I kinda know another orphan that may love lizards.” Callum: He sighed and shook his head as the hope that had sprouted in his heart just for Kilroy, wilted. He wondered if Fig had ever really tried to teach and discipline his child when Kilroy was in fact young enough. If Fig ever loved him enough to realize that his son would grow up accordingly. Callum shook his head again. “I suppose I’ll pay a visit, and then go beg for another ambassador,” he said. Rimecrest: He watched the two yearlings interact with pricked ears, but guilt and grief, mixed in with a little hurt lingered behind his grey eyes. It was getting toward the evening time, so the wind began to die down a little more. Rimecrest fluffed his wings and folded them. “I’m sor- please forgive me,” he corrected himself. Asking for forgiveness felt more genuine and meaningful than just saying sorry. “I didn’t mean it in that way, I promise! Grasswing is my hero- and Bumblewind, and Star, and Morningleaf.” He chuckled a little. “Okay, I have a lot of heroes. But I meant what I said as a compliment. I swear I wasn’t thinking about the whole story of Graythorn.”
Summary!
Alrighty, so Ben and Rayla are just going to sleep after a long and hard afternoon, and painful, if I must say. Sultaan and Reba are heading toward Sun Herd lands, without knowing it of course, what they think is that they’re going to go beyond the forest where the meadows and stuff are. In Jorhirestown, Bhearit, Colchi and Eric are having a conversation about inventions. Callum and Fig just arrived at the barracks and are briefly discussing about Kilroy’s sudden disappearance. Meanwhile in Mountain Herd on a snowy and quite windy cliff, Rimecrest, my new Mountain Herd OC, is secretly talking to the Sun Herd captives, Thornhill, Emberflight, and Coalwing. Tell me if I missed anything!
(lol, I'm making MORE characters. (To be fair, Kihlari Academy has like, 50 characters (my fault XDD))
(My PC's gonna flip lol)
(Y'ALL HOLD UP A BIT I NEED TO MAKE A NEW PART AAAAA)
Sophie:
She casually tore off a little chunk of her pretzel, and took a bite out of the soft salty bread.
(I don't know how to say 'moaned' without sounding...weird... ugh. Stupid 7th and 8th grade boys)
Jasper: He took a sip of his water, careening his neck to see their food. It looked good, that was for sure- oh the water was so clean! Momentarily, he forgot his troubles and being slightly uncomfortable. He gulped the water down and smiled at the mug it had been delivered in.
Sophie:
"I am STARVING! Thanks so much!" she added quickly. Her mouth watered slightly, and she let the aroma of the pretzel fill her heart. "It looks SO GOOD!!" She grinned
Ben:
He nodded, "Alright, then. It'll be a surprise. I'll make you a sandwich that well fits in Sultaan's budget. Win-win; you eat something nutritious and Sultaan doesn't spend all his money." He winked at Sultaan, then pushed himself off the bar. "I'll have those things out in just a moment," And he stepped into the kitchen. After washing his hands, he got to work.
Starting with the drinks, he made fresh brewed tea for Sohpie, Espen, and Reba and poured waters for Sultaan and Jasper. He set the mugs down in front of the correlating centaurs before disappearing back into the kitchen.
He started with Espen's and Sophie's orders since biscuits and a pretzel wouldn't take too long. He prepared both doughs before shaping each one into their respective shapes.
Ben made the biscuits smaller than he normally would, mainly so it was easier for Espen to eat, then twisted Sohpie's pretzel into the classic shape. Once they finished baking, he sprinkled the pretzel with salt and placed a side of jam and butter next to Espen's biscuits. Once both were finished, he opened the kitchen door with a hind hoof, carrying two trays in each hand. "Pretzel," He slid the large pretzel towards the mare, "And biscuits," He added as he placed the flakey biscuits in front of Espen. "Careful; both are hot."
(Fire did you really just make a character named Lemonade?
Can someone meet Vioni, idk where to put her)
Jasper:
"Well." He paused to think, "not that I know of?" His cheeks and ears were a bit red from the bread comment.
Thunderfire
"You dont understand, im trying to tell you what is happening but.." He took a deep breath, he will not waste his breath on talking to these thick headed stallions. Some Leader! he thought as he turned away from them, this was getting him nowhere.
Reba: She wondered what Sultaan had ordered... he must have written something down on the pad for the two of them... she thought it had been for Jasper.
She wanted to nod when Ben mentioned the sweet tea as she was curious to try it, but she held back, worrying about the price.
Rimecrest:
He widened his eyes and scrambled to a sitting position with his wings flared. "I- I'm Rimecrest. I, um, I was just resting here because I had flown such a long way to get to Sun Herd," he said hastily, struggling to get to his hooves. His legs were still heavy with sleep.
Hiiiiiiii!!!
Ben:
He nodded at both Espen and Sophie, "Sure, lassy. I have sweet tea. Oh, and the biscuits for Espen." He winked at the young boy and mused his hair gently. "Would anyone else like some?" He asked as he looked around at the young guests that circled the bar.
"I've got Sultaan, Reba, Espen, and Sophie's orders." His ears swiveled back to Jasper. "Jasper, you have yet to tell me what you want. What would you like?" He set his elbows on the bar and leaned against them heavily.
Sophie:
She looked thoughtful for a minute. “Whenever I’m sick, or my nose is stuffy and I can’t breathe, my Mom makes me tea with different oils.” She nipped her head.
(I based that story off of a true one. My Mom makes me tea 😁)
Sophie:
”Where I’m from, it’s like a ‘country’ tea.” She sighed at the cool golden colored tea. “Or Iced if you prefer. Raspberries taste best in it.” She brought her fists to her chest in an excited way, and let out an excited squeal
Sophie:
She swished her tail, her excitement unmeasurable by the tea.
Sophie:
”Do you have any sweet tea?” She beamed like the sun
Callum:
"Tell me, Thunderfire- because you haven't quite answered our question- from whom, or what exactly do you want protection from?" He asked, folding his hands behind his back and straightening his back slightly. The blade-length tear in the middle of his shirt stretched a little as he did this.
Callum:
He flicked his ears and looked at Fig before speaking to Thunderfire, "Alright, I suppose that we could spare a night for you to stay here. But you can't live here, that's for certain," he said carefully, still looking at Fig for his approval. This was not Callum's town, so he didn't really have a say in most things- especially this one circumstance.
Thunderfire
he stood and waited for the two to proses what he said, he pawed tha ground as he thought of those goats
(mountain herd and you can really see how dislikable i made this character)
@Ravendove Vioni could meet Bhearit at the Johirestown library!)
Bhearit:
"So, if you're both done eating, let's go down to the library to see what we can find," he suggested, getting up and dusting off his knees.
Sultaan:
He leaned against the counter and studied the wood, picking off the splinter straggles.
Jasper: Lemonade sounded so refreshing, yet he heard himself say, "Water would be good." he did however offer a thankful smile.
Thunderfire
"yes.. i thought i found some when mountain herd found me so since we are neighbors i thought i could keep am low profile here, and if i do not only am I away from mountain herd but i can also get that herd... Since if they had it their way those mountain goats would kill me," He spat the words out
(Anyone got a character Vioni can meet? I made a sheet for her. Please go check it out if anyone is interested in having their characters meet Vioni. The only part that is most important to me is the pronounciation of her name. V-yawn-ee)
(I gtg)
(Just realized. I only have one character: Topaz. Ash can I make another girl?)
Espen: (Lovely indeed lol)
He raised an eyebrow. "Hurry, Mr. Ben. Sophie's gonna die soon," he said in pretend flatness.
Espen:
He giggled when he heard Sophie's stomach gurgle.
(We're getting x rays soon)
Sophie:
Her stomach growled, and she threw her arms around it to quiet it. “Do you sell pretzels?” she asked with an embarrassed grin.
(I hope to be on soon. I might have fractured my wrist so I've been off cuz it hurts so bad)
Thunderfire
he rolled his eyes away from fig
(what do i say? sorry but idk callums relation with Fwanroot)
Reba: Sultaan's smile suggested that he might be willing to buy something, or maybe it was suggesting that he wasn't hungry, only happy at Ben's kindness to Jasper.
(Do you know how that is, when someone is hungry and they overanalyze everything in relation to getting food?)
Fig: That was a ridiculous reason. Pegasi never entered his town even when they had good reasons much more important than this.
Then he wondered: How much had Kilroy taught the pegasi about centaur medical skills? Didn't he realize he was giving away valuable intelligence?!
Carmela: "It's just an interview..." she said carefully. "He might not chose to teach you. I've heard he is very picky about who he apprentices." She respected it to some degree... she was sure the chiefs had been pressuring him to take an apprentice for a long time. It was in their interests, not his. Hopefully Topaz was the one he was looking for.
Espen:
"UGH! Really guys?" He whined, crossing his arms. But he soon had to reply to Ben's question. "Could I get one of those hot biscuits of yours?"
Callum:
He flicked his ears forward in interest. "Fawnroot sent you here?" He asked. But he couldn't let his feelings for the mare override this moment. "For what reason?"
Sultaan:
He met Reba's gaze and smiled slightly, raising a questioning eyebrow. "What?" He signed. "You still hungry, dear one?"
Thunderfire\
he waited for the two stallion to answer. he swished his tail as a fly bit him. he glanced to the sky thinking about Fwanroot, he did really know the ties she has here and once he gets back home will confront her, yet at the same time he was pleased, for because of their ties he was easily able to come in.
Honeyfeather:
With a critical eye, she looked Rimecrest over. With wide, shocked eyes, she balked, "You're Mountain Herd!" She whinnied, "As far as I know, you'd not be welcome in Sun Herd."
Good Morning, y'all!!!
Thunderfire
“ Fine I’m here because a medicine mare by the name of Fawnroot. She sent me here.” He looked around and to the sky hoping they took the bait. ( can they please not know he is not telling the whole truth that is a very small reason why he is here)
(Ben :)
Jasper: He looked flustered and lost, "I don't want to be a bother." He said quickly, "I can eat whatever you have left over...I'll-Uh even find a way to pay for it." he dug his one dirty coin from his pocket, "It's all I have right now but I can get more." His face was flushed and he seemed to be trying to disappear into himself. were they looking at him?
Reba: She perked up at that. Maybe Sultaan could order something for the two of them since there would be some money left over. Stop thinking about food! she lectured inwardly. You just had all those berries earlier. It's not as if you hadn't eaten for weeks, like Jasper.
Lily: "Yes, but you don't know much about the sport. Chandra thinks that you do."
He seemed to be enjoying the tea, which made her glad. Where had he come from, that he wasn't familiar with cricket or irani chai?
(a bit of ethnocentrism here...)
Ben:
He watched the friendly banter between the group of young friends with a wide smile. He was always enthused when young children and teens came into the Tavern; they were a breath of refreshing air from the normal customers who came into his restaurant.
He read Sultaan's order and nodded once. Upon hearing that Jasper hasn't eaten much in a week, Ben's head shot up, with a twinge of pain through his body, to stare at the young stallion. "What?
Ben's eyes widened as he looked over the skinny and boney centaur and guilt instantly flashed over his features. "We can't have that, now can we? What would you like, Jasper? Anything you'd like to eat, it'll be half off it's normal price. I don't like the idea of a young lad, such as yourself, starving for food."
(This kind of ties into Ben's childhood during the ex-Cheif Conan's rule. His parents weren't super wealthy even before Conan's rule, so when Conan took over, they were really struggling for money. Ben, his brother, and several of Irich foals were struggling simply to find food. Ben's family escaped Irichad and quickly left a few months into Conan's rule, but Ben knows what its like to be starving)
(AWWWW!!! Okay 🥲 hope to see you later! When you come back, here’s my and Aspi’s recommendations for Cole! You said you needed some inspiration for his backstory)
I’m sure it wouldn’t be bad, Earthquake! I doubt it would be boring or dumb! I can help and we can brainstorm together if you need some ideas! There are a lot of different ways you could go with this, considering he grew up in Iraweigh, he’s a boxer, the house and the vulnerability he felt when looking at the pictures and drawings, and the little memory of him and his grandfather working together- there’s a lot you could do!
Im not sure what you plan on doing with him but here are some ideas of mine:
He came from humble backgrounds and family was poor. So, he would help out his parents and grandparents in anyway he could, doing odd jobs and stuff, but it never seemed to be enough. Then, perhaps he found boxing? If he won, he would get a little bit of prize money. So he started boxing and fighting for money for his family. As he got better and realized that he was very good at it, he saw bigger things for himself than just street fighting in a small, little town. That’s why he left and ended up in Jonhirestown to chase his dreams of sucess and bringing honor to his family name?
Something like that? Im not entirely sure!
Or maybe his grandfather was also a boxer and taught Cole everything he knew? So now he continues to fight, not only for his grandfather’s legacy, but also bring honor to his humble family, as I said before? Maybw the reason why his childhood house is abandoned is because his family packed up and left? For a fresh start? But perhaps instead of following him to Jonhirestown, they went South to maybe Reba’s town or North to Colchi’s miner town? But, maybe Cole and his family fell out of touch and he now has no idea where they ended up (and that can be up to you!!)
These are all just suggestions to get you started! He’s your character! I’m just pulling these off the top of my head, so it’s not like they’re refined or anything lol) (oh! Or maybe since he seems to have a previous experience with pegasi (it seemed like Cloudflame wasn’t the first pegasus he’s met) maybe something happened to his family concerning the pegasi? That may get complicated but it would at least tie him into the story a little more)
(Here's a little background info on Iraweigh that might help you find inspiration:
A lot of the people that live there did not actually grow up there. A good number of them are actually former refugees from other towns destroyed by the elements, war, or certain wild animals. The reason they came to Iraweigh in particular is the growing textile industry that they could find employment in.)
(AHHH I'M SOOO SORRY I HAVE TO GO!!!)
(AHH Sorry can I have recomment real quick?)
Jasper: did he not care if he paid him back? That would be unusual.
Jasper: "I'll pay you back..." he whispered. "One day."
Espen:
He tilted his head back and scrunched his face up.
Sultaan:
He smiled knowingly and turned to Ben, writing down his order.
