Color: gray, white, gray-blue, rarely tan or lilac gray
Habitat: forests in valleys cloaked by mist on Pantala
Abilities: can see through the fog and in the dark with their glowing eyes, can spray mist from under spikes near the end of their tails, can climb well with their hooked claws
Queen: Foglily
Other: no other tribe knows that they exist but DeepWings, who are quite secretive themselves, and SilkWings and LeafWings who protect the secret from Queen Wasp so that she does not try to take over that tribe too, names like Sheer, Dusk, and Smoke
I drew her a few months ago lol. If I remember right, I named her Watermelon.
Anyway, FogWings, my made up tribe, are always very colorful, but usually, their scales are more pastel colors. They breathe a toxic... mist/fog/liquid... I guess, it's usually the same color as their wings (Watermelon's would be pale pink) that can sting the enemy's eyes and make their scales itch and feel numb for up to a few hours. The darker the color, the stronger the toxic. All FogWing's have no front arms, but their wings are often larger with hooked, sharp claws, for gripping onto trees and all that. So yeahhhh. lol
Those are so PRETTY!!! I love them! Also, for the last one, the Forestwing, you could name him Forest. He looks like a forest lol. Those are a lot of tribes as well...I want to draw some of them!
Oh! Nice! Yeah, Thistle's just a pretty name in general (for, like, non-modern day humans tho). And yeah, I remember Leaf! He was cool. A bit "eh dude, REALLY?" sometimes, but cool lol

Deepwings
Color: very dark blue or purple with pale blue underscalesHabitat: the lake that sank to the bottom of the ocean between Pyrrhia and Pantala (now just called the DeepWing kingdom)Abilities: can breathe underwater, can see in the dark, can swim even better and faster than SeaWings, can glide very well on ocean currents cuz of their curved wings, webbed talons, and streamlined shapeQueen: Spinner (like a spinner dolphin)Other: no back legs, one of the only 3 tribes that knows that MistWings exist, only a myth to most other tribes, used to live in the central lake before the event described at the end of this very long comment
JewelWings
Color: red, yellow, green, blue, purple, or whiteHabitat: SUPER intricate and complex cave systems filled with crystals, way undergroundAbilities: scales are very hard to claw and bite, good fighters although they do not need to fight very often, very smartQueen: EmeraldOther: scales are triangular and shiny giving them the appearance of gems or stained glass, named after gems and precious stones (such as Sapphire, Jasper, Jade, and Citrine, which are characters that I have made up)ThunderWingsColor: black, gray, white, brown, golden brown, dark brown, dark red, orange, often more than one of these colors, such as Swan, who is black and white, or Eagle, who is dark red and brown with a white headHabitat: in the sky in and around Mount Cirrus (an island with the steepest, tallest mountain on the dragon planet)Abilities: can fly faster than SkyWings and make sharp turns thanks to their feathered wings, have hooked claws and therefore a strong grip, can breathe at extremely high altitudes, rarely can have a magic "thunder feather" in their tail to lightning-zap whatever it touches, white is powerful blue or purple is more powerful gold is super rare and most powerfulQueen: FalconOther: named after birds, the ledge on the mountain with a lake on it is often the farthest down that they go, a bit shy around other tribes, only back legs like a bird, hybrids can have only back legs, only front legs, or 4 legs depending on what the other tribe isFlutterWingsColor: bodies are dark colors, the wings are bright and beautifulHabitat: the canopy of the rainforest on PyrrhiaAbilities: agile due to having 4 wings, can recognize any animal or plant if they have ever seen it before, quite smart, have great peacemaking skills, good artists and fliersQueen: Ocean BreezeOther: long necks and tails, wings look like a cross between light-colored butterfly wings and leaves, named after flowers, plants, and butterflies, used to isolate themselves but when Queen Glory and Queen Ocean Breeze came into power, they forged an alliance with the RainWings and NightWings, can shrink at will, have 2-part names (like Emerald Swallowtail, Morning Glory, and Half Moon)RidgeWingsColor: silver, pale pink, pale blue, always a slight metallic shine to their scalesHabitat: very tops of the Claws of the Clouds mountains, and the caves inside themAbilities: good fighters and fliers like SkyWings, can flash the patches of reflective scales under their wings to temporarily blind an opponent although they are a relatively peaceful tribe, can withstand cold temperatures, high altitudes, and bright lightQueen: StormOther: curved wings, originally founded by a SkyWing-IceWing hybrid, forced into the caves by Queen Scarlet, then allied with Queen Ruby when Scarlet was killedBloomWingsColor: almost any combination of 2 to 6 colors, beetle-like wings are iridescentHabitat: a large circle of islands between the 2 continents, with the central island having been a volcano that created these islands when it explodedAbilities: can sense vibrations with their antennae like SilkWings, wrist stingers, end of the tail can glow like a firefly's light, can make new plants with parts of other plants, rarely can have animus magicQueen: JasmineOther: volcano exploded and created the island circle then went extinct, volcanic ash helped make good soil, over 10,000 species of plants on the islands despite their small size, named after many things, wings are small when they are born and grow to large sizesForestWingsColor: shades of brown, black, and green for camouflageHabitat: a large, heavily forested island between the 2 continents, close enough to the BloomWing islands to rarely visit them for meetings and stuffAbilities: can see in the dark, can howl like wolves to signal to each other, can stalk prey silently because they have paws and retractable claws rather than normal dragon talons and fur in some places to muffle the sounds they make, and if they are too young, old, or lazy to hunt, they stick the green fur tuft at the end of their tail through a bush or down a tree and wait for some unlucky animal to come to investigate, also very musical, loyal to their familiesQueen: Oak Other: very wolf-like because of their ears and fur, every time 1 or more moons are full, they sing a complex song, and each family has a certain part, including the royal family, when a dragon marries the male teaches the female their family's part, black or brown antlers instead of horns, males have much bigger antlersFangWingsColor: combinations of dark green, pale sand color, and garnet redHabitat: southernmost parts of the Kingdom of SandAbilities: venomous bite, the cure is a certain type of plant, can withstand high temperatures, can rattle a warning with the rattle at the end of their tails, slender so that they are good at burrowing in the sandQueen: StrikerOther: fierce at defending their borders because an ancient SandWing queen, a little before Darkstalker's time forced them out and they only returned a long time after Darkstalker was defeated by Fathom and Clearsight, Burn wanted to ally with them in the War of SandWing Succession, but they knew she was cruel and refused, now respect Queen ThornThe Dragon Planet: Explained (well at least this is how I picture it)Before Jade Mountain Academy, before the Dragonet Prophecy, long before Darkstalker was even hatched, there were just 3 huge groups of dragons. They all lived on one huge continent, with a lake in the center and an enormous mountain called Mount Cirrus, dwarfing even Jade Mountain. There were no moons, no comet, and no Poison Jungle. One day, an enormous meteor was spotted in the sky. The dragons assumed that it would pass them by, but it got closer... and closer... until... WHAM! It hit the central lake head-on, forcing it all the way to the bottom of the ocean, sort of like Atlantis. The continent split in half, and Mount Cirrus and some of the land that had been near the lake became islands. However, a lot was smashed into space dust that later formed the moons, and still more became the comet mentioned in The Brightest Night. The continent that later became Pantala was deserted, because some dangerous materials from the meteor had found their way into some soil, giving birth to the Poison Jungle. It was years and years before dragons came from Pyrrhia back to Pantala. Back on Pyrrhia, Mount Cirrus, the islands, and the sunken lake, dragons split up into tribes, though they had different names and it was years before the modern dragon society emerged. But despite all of these hardships, the dragons (and the scavengers, who went underground to escape) survived.
PLEASE show me I forgot to photograph my Mistwing, her name is Dusk.
