"Hello mother!" Skylark said as she trotted up to Seacloud her dam who happened to be the lead mare of Mist Herd. "Hello my dear child!" Seacloud replied. "Can I hang out with Starbrook,Sunstruck,Brightwind, and Sunfall today?" Skylark asked. "As long as Moonfire or Aspenfire goes with you guys." The mare sayed while preening her feathers. "But mom! We're almost 3!! Dont you trust us?" Skylark snapped. "Fine Skylark! Go ask your father!" Seacloud snapped back. Skylark cantered over to her father, Stormwing. "Papa!" Skylark said cheerfully. "Hello Skylark. How can I help you?" Stormwing asked. "Mother said that Moonfire or Aspenfire had to come with me and my friends today." Skylark said. "Papa I'm almost 3 why do they still come with me evrywhere?" The mare questioned. "Because your mother is afriad that the same thing that happened to Ashstone will happen to you." Stormwing said with a sigh. Ashstone,was Skylark's older brother he was captured a year before Skylark was born. Ashstone was never to be seen again. At the time he was only 2 years old and that left poor Seacloud scarred forever. "Who do you want to go with you today?" The stallion asked. "Neither of them!" Skylark yelled. "Skylark! You need to take at least one of them with you!" He reminded her. "Papa! You know how hard Sunfall is working to get in the army!" Skylark told her father. "Wait! Sunfall is going?!?" He asked shocked. "Yes..." The young mare answered hopefully. "Oh then its ok as long as Thundertail goes too." He told his anxious daughter. "But that means Iceblaze has to co-" She was cut off mid-sentence by her father. "Skylark either Thundertail and Sunfall or Moonfire!" Stormwing said fastly. "Ok Thundertail can come but now I have to deal with Starbrook and Thundertail's awkwardness PLUS Iceblaze!" She said with a sigh. "But its better than Moonfire and waay better than Aspenfire!"
