They're really pretty horses!

The horse in the third picture is a Gypsy Vanner, the tail is still on the horse and it had not been cut short, the tail is just blended in with the horses coat pattern and feathers.

P.S. the picture over there is another Gypsy Vanner but I think it easer to tell were the tail is

The tail in the third one is still there.... And some horses,ecspecially carrige horses, have short tails...
