So my fanfic, Wings Of Hope, has a prologue and chapters and everything, but it also will have three to four short stories, called Flashbacks. Here is Flashback 1

(circa Across The Dark Water chapter 23)

Star grazed at the far end of the field, not far from Bumblewind’s newly rebuilt tribute. He looked up and his eyes swept over the herd. His gaze caught on a mare with bright aqua wings: Morningleaf. She raised her head and Star dropped his, embarrassed. When he dared to look again, Morningleaf was trotting straight towards Star. Star pawed the ground nervously. “Star? He heard Morningleaf say. Star looked at the mare, unsure of what to say. She spoke first. “I… had a question.” “Yes?” Star responded. Morningleaf nodded. “I… I love you Star/” Star’s head and wings flew up. “Me!?” Star asked, joyful and almost unable to believe his ears. The mare he loved, had loved since they were little, loved him back! “What about Brackentail?” he asked, looking at the orange-feathered stallion across the meadow. “I like him, but as a friend. He’ll be okay without me, but I need you. I love you Star. Will you be my mate?” Morningleaf’s words came out in a rush. Star took a breath. “Yes. Yes, I would love nothing more!” he said, brushing her wing with his own. They had no idea what would happen next, no clue of the world-changing events that would soon occur, but they knew that whatever happened, they would face it together.
