Wingsong sat on her rump, her entire body shaking. ”I’ll go get Mapleroot.” Icebreeze whispered. Wingsong didnt answer, but she watched her brother leave. Icewood looked at the ground. ”What happened?” he mumbled, lifting his eyes. Wingsong shook her head, she didnt want to say anymore.

A few minutes later Mapleroot trotted into the grove. She stopped in front of Wingsong. ”Will you be fine if I examine Sunmist first?” Wingsong nodded, and instantly Mapleroot examined the filly. After a half an hour, Sunmist’s bite marks and scratches were taken care of. Mapleroot went to her wing next. She clicked her tongue softly. ”Will- will it be bro-ken forever?” Sunmist said in between sniffles. Mapleroot smiled softly. ”It will be fine.” Wingsong looked at the medicine mare’s eyes.
