Prologue

In Snow Herd's old territory, a large herd of Pegasai were resting for the night under the watchful eye of their Over-Stallion. The large stallion's ears twitched as he watched the mares, under-stallions, yearlings, and foals settle down to rest after a day of hard flying. The night was quiet, and the moon glittered off of the snow covered valley below him. Shaking out his mane, the stallion spread his wide purple wings, stretching his sore limbs. His ears perked, the sound of soft wingbeats alerting the stallion to a possibly unwanted presence. With a snort, the large dapple gray stallion stamped the ground with his hoof, alerting a couple of the mares in the Herd, who perked their ears, trying to see if they were in any danger.

“Relax,” Said a voice from the shadows. “It's just me.”

“Ah, Birdcall…” The stallion snorted as the light gray mare landed beside him. “Perhaps let me know it's you next time…BEFORE I accidentally send the Herd into a frenzy." The mare just snorted in reply.

“Perhaps,” She began, slightly mocking the stallion. “YOU should make sure there's nothing to be afraid of before you send the Herd into a frenzy.”

The Stallion narrowed his eyes and glared at the mare beside him. “What do you even want.”

“I'm just here to deliver a report on my charge!” She said in mock surprise, placing her wing over her chest as if his words stung her. “Buuut…if you DON'T want to hear it…I guess I'll just be on my way.” She spread her wings slowly, preparing to take flight.

“Wait!” Ordered the Over-Stallion harshly. “What report?” He asked, slight menace in his voice. The mare smirked, slowly lowering her wings.

“All our patience has paid off…” She said simply.

“She has it!?” The Over-Stallion asked in surprise, his ears twitching in slight excitement.

“Yes, Stormwing.” She said with a nod. “She has it.”

“Then my plans…” The cruel gray stallion said with a smirk, “Can finally be put into motion…”

Birdcall stepped forward, “Petalcloud would be proud of what you, her most trusted Warrior, Stormtail, have become.”

Stormwing smirked “Bring her to me at the first light of dawn…I have an assignment for her.” He said, turning his attention back towards his herd. Birdcall nodded and stepped back.

“Of course, Stormwing.” She said spreading her wings and leaping into the air, coasting back towards the herd. Stormwing smiled maliciously.

“Star's undoing…” He murmured. “Is at my wingtips.”

TADA! GOT THE PROLOGUE DONE TONIGHT! XD I had the BASIC idea of what this story is going to entail, so I decided to start the prologue! The next part SHOULD be out in the next few days (No promises though, a couple things need to get done before I can start work on the main story)! Also, after realizing that Stormtail was my main baddie, I have to change the name of Morningleaf and Star's son...hehe. HINDSIGHT 20/20 AM I RIGHT!? XD ANYWAY, enjoy this prologue!
