FIRST FIGHT
Spiritstorm took flight and blasted Fernheart with her flames, but Fernheart deflected it with her own.
Fernheart blasted Spiritstorm and it hit her in the chest, and Spiritstorm flipped over and fell to the ground. “Spiritstorm!” screamed Tigerstar. Mintsong faced Fernheart with her ears pinned. “Spiritstorm is the embodiment of grace and love, all the qualities that you lack!”
Mintsong charged Fernheart and flew up to fight her. “Mintsong! Get down here! Now!” shouted Redray. Spiritstorm's leg twitched, kicking Echostar, who was just laying down, in the head. The slightly dazed mare stood up. “I know you’re mad at Fernheart, I get it, but don’t kill her,” said Echostar.
Spiritstorm also stood up and faced Echostar. “Why would I not kill her? She’s terrible!” yelled Spiritstorm. “You might be an over-mare, but you know nothing about how to take proper care of the steeds in your herd.”
Spiritstorm flew up and blasted Echostar with her flames. “Fernheart! Come help me!” screamed Echostar. Spiritstorm’s eyes glowed faintly. Fernheart flew to Spiritstorm and tackled her. “How dare you try to kill my mother?” She pinned Spiritstorm to the ground. “Well, now it’s your turn to die.”
Spiritstorm blasted Fernheart with her flames, rolled over, grabbed her tail, and tossed her into a tree. Tigerstar and Redray flew toward Spiritstorm. Fernheart circled them, glaring at Redray while getting her magic ready. “No! Stop!” Spiritstorm whinnied. She blasted Fernheart in the head.
LIES
Fernheart somersaulted, hooves over wings, and hit a tree. “You’re the worst!” Spiritstorm neighed. She reared, gathering her light, and shot it in a thin beam of blinding light. “I’m done with this!” Fernheart yelled. She flew off to think.
Spiritstorm trotted over there. “Can you blast me with your power and stay here? Look triumphant,” asked Spiritstorm.
“Sure, I guess,” said Fernheart, and she blasted her with her flames.
“Tigerstar! Redray! Autumnberry! Help me!” screamed Spiritstorm. The three steeds galloped over to her. “Fernheart burned me in so many places with her magic,” said Spiritstorm.
“Echostar! Come get your filly!” whinnied Redray, enraged. Echostar teleported herself over. “Fernheart! What did you do? I’ve had enough of this! Leave us!” yelled Echostar.
“But she—,” said Fernheart. “she said ‘can you blast me with your power and stay here? Look triumphant.’” Echostar reared, and all the steeds gathered could tell she was angry. “What?” asked Echostar. Spiritstorm trotted over to Echostar. “No! She is lying! I would never say that!”
“Mother, please listen to me. She is the liar here! I even recorded it all through my horn!” said Fernheart. Spiritstorm tackled her just as she finished showing the recording. The steeds stared in shock. “Spiritstorm! What was all this for? Just so you could be rude to her?” shouted Tigerstar.
“This is fake! I would never say such a thing!” neighed Spiritstorm. Redray reared, angry, then whinnied. “Enough!” he shouted, his regal voice booming. Everyone ceased their panic.
They gathered themselves and started to walk, like horses, toward Spring Herd.
Spiritstorm walked near Fernheart, saying nothing. With anger raging between her, Spiritstorm, and the herds, Fernheart whinnied. “That’s it, everybody! Since you guys will not think about my needs, I will leave Drakonia, and return with an army. If anyone wishes to join me, speak now!”
“I want to join you.” A mare said. All around more steeds said that they wish to join the massive herd that Fernheart was about to create. Autumnberry galloped to her parents and hugged Spiritstorm. “I’m never leaving you, Spiritstorm!” she nickered. Spiritstorm's eyes widened slightly, and suddenly, she knew what she had to do.
