(This takes place right after the book Windborn. There might be spoilers)

Star carried the heavy stone in his wings. "Let's go home Morningleaf." He said walking beside her. The whole herd followed.

Morningleaf laughed, "Oh my friend. You are my home, and I'm your guardian herd." She said nudging him.

Shadepebble trotted over to Brackentail, "Hey Brackentail." She said softly, carrying a medium stone in her pale pink wings.

Brackentail looked over at her. "Hey Shadepebble! How are you doing?" he asked. Gently nuzzling her.

"I'm a bit tired." Shadepebble said.

They soon reached Crabwing's bay

"Halt!" Star commanded, there were far to many hoof prints in the sand. "Who's there?" He said stirnly.

"Star. I've been waiting for you." A calm gentle voice said, calling out of the shadows in the cave. "We've all been waiting for you."
