Yeah, this one is super short too, so I posted it today, because Chapter 1 was also short 😐.

Chapter 2: Storm Herd

Dawnlight blinked her eyes. The sun was slowly rising, and the birds' started their song. Dawnlight stretched her wings and stroke her newborn filly. Stormsong twitched, and slowly opened her eyes.

“Hello, my sweet filly,” Dawnlight said. Stormsong stretched her long neck and exchanged breath with Dawnlight.

Dawnlight nuzzled her and stood. “Come on,” she said.

Stormsong whinnied and tried to stand, but she fell over.

“Oh,” Dawnlight put her wings under Stormsong’s waist and helped her stand.

Stormsong nickered in delight and beamed, raising her head. Then, she tried to lift her long wings, and fell over again, waking Rainmoon and Skyfall up.

“Oh, my. Stormsong will have trouble with those long wings of hers.” Rainmoon said. There was a long pause. “I’m not sure she’ll be able to fly for a while.”

Dawnlight sighed. Stormsong lifted herself off the ground, her wings sagging, and she nuzzled Dawnlight. Then, she slowly walked forward towards Skyfall.

Skyfall cocked her head, “Hi!” she said. Skyfall lifted off and hovered over Stormsong.

Stormsong nickered back. “Hi,” Stormsong said. Skyfall landed beside her and together they walked towards Storm Herd.

Dawnlight and Rainmoon smiled. “We should introduce her to Storm Herd,” Dawnlight said.

“Oh, yes!” Rainmoon said, trotting forward.

Storm Herd looked up at the black filly. One mare trotted up to them. “What is her name?” she asked.

“Stormsong,” Dawnlight answered.

“All hail, Stormsong!” she cheered.

To their surprise, one by one, Storm Herd bowed.

Stormsong looked around, and lowered her head.
