Crystal’s point of view

As I snuck through the bushes of my herd’s camp in the grove of trees I prayed that I wouldn’t get seen. As I broke free of the foliage I began to flap my silvery wings and take off. I headed towards a big forest (we know this place as The Trap.) When I got there I looked behind me to see if there were any other Pegasi, and of course my best friend, Dawn landed behind me. As she huffed and puffed she said, “Crystal, why are you leaving? Someone might find you!”

I sighed and answered “You know why. I have to get moon berries for my fur.”

“Oh right,” Dawn said.

As we walked in silence in the forest we came to a bush of silver berries called moon berries. I started to pick some with my teeth and washed my feathers and fur until they turned black. When I was fully black except for one white anklet, I stared soaking my fur with the berry juice from the moon berries. Then after a while I asked, “Dawn, could you spread some juice over my wings?”

Dawn said, “Of course! I’m your best friend.”

I waited for Dawn to finish with the berries, then we found our way to the entrance and took off. When we got back me and Dawn settled down so we looked like we had been there all night and then drifted to sleep.

Crystal: black filly with one white anklet.

Dawn: pure white filly.

Star: black stallion with white blaze.

Sunstream: bay mayor with for white anklets and red wings tipped with yellow

Peguses: silver stallion.
