Morningmist gasped. Silver starfire? That meant Riversun could be a destroyer! At least, Riversun would not be killed by Pebblewind and Icefeather if she had a shield.

“Cheater!” Icefeather neighed. Riversun snorted with laughter.

“You were the one who snuck up on me! You are the one who cheated!” Riversun whinned. It appeared as if Icefeather was going to say more, but he looked at the shield and grew quiet.

“Right. You know what I can do now.” Riversun tried to sound threatening, but really she sounded nervous. Morningleaf looked relieved.

“I am willing to make a pact!” Icefeather said willingly. Pebblewind and the other guards nodded in agreement.

“Make a pact?” Riversun questioned. “Why would I make a pact with the pegasus who tried to kill me and my friends?” Icefeather and the others looked down at their hooves.

“You will let me and Morningleaf go!” Riversun commanded. Pebblewind untied Morningleaf and stepped back into the crowd. Riversun continued. “We are going to leave and you won’t stop us!” Icefeather agreed.

Riversun and Morningleaf flew out of the clearing.

Starfrost got up to move but Morningmist shook her head. She pointed a wing towards Icefeather who was gathering his guards.

“We can not let Riversun get away!” Icefeather neighed. The guards agreed.

Pebblewind spoke up. “What if she turns us to ash?” he asked.

“That is a risk we must take. It is imperative that we get her so we can find and use Star!” Icefeather whinnied.

Another guard stood up. Morningmist recognized that this was Spiderhoof, a close friend of Icefeather.

“I think Riversun has never used starfire before. She seemed pretty scared of what she could do.” The pretty pinto added.

“Alright!” Icefeather announced. “We will go after them.” The guards kicked off and followed Riversun and Morningleaf.
