“The son of Frostfire and Larksong! What are you doing here!” Riversun snorted.

“You of all pegasi should understand why I have come. I want to be with Star’s herd!” Starfrost whinnied.

“Star is dead!” Riversun neighed. Morningmist stepped out from behind Riversun.

“We don’t know that for sure! Starfrost, why don’t you come with us to find Star?” Morningmist neighed excitedly.

“So if one inexperienced filly weren’t enough now I also have an inexperienced colt!” Riversun lamented.

“I want to come! Star is even in my name!” Starfrost neighed.

“Isn’t this interesting,” Morningmist began, “how the children of the important pegasi are going on a quest to find Star?” Riversun and Starfrost stared blankly at Morningmist.

“Riversun, is the filly of Nightwing, Starfrost is the colt of Frostfire, and I am the filly of Morningleaf!” Morningmist explained. Riversun and Starfrost nodded.

“We will leave in two days.” Riversun neighed. “Let’s go back to our herds so they don’t get suspicious.” Morningmist and Starfrost nodded.

When Morningmist got home, Morningleaf was waiting for her.

“Mama, I was just out playing with Riversun! I did not realize it had gotten so late!” Morningmist lied. Morningleaf said nothing and brought her to a private location away from the herd.
