Moon’s surroundings quickly came back into view, she slowly blinked, remembering where she was at, she trotted back to the herd, everything was different, there was more captains guarding the herd, she shuddered, this was awful, she hoped they wouldn’t harm Darkheart if he came back.

She looked at the sky, the sun was almost at its peak, tomorrow at midnight she would officially be a yearling, and she would choose to save her herd, and all the herds. She looked around, and when no one was looking, she gently rubbed her head with her wing.

She returned her wing to her side, and continued walking back to the herd, she walked over to the lake, and submerged herself into it, cleaning off, any leaves, or dirt, that got stuck in her hide and feathers, the water felt nice and cold against her wings and hide.

When Moon was done cleaning herself off, she swam out of the lake and shook the access water off, she looked up at the sky, the sun was starting to set,

Moon trotted over to a nearby tree and laid down, hopefully Darkheart can last till I get my powers, Moon thought, she closed her eyes, and was soon encased in another dream.

Moon looked around in shock, everything was burning every tree, the whole ground, besides a small circle around her. Darkheart was flying towards her, but he was different; His mane and tail were made up of fire, his hooves were encased with flames.

Moon bit back a gasp, as Darkheart landed in front of her his eyes were still a normal deep brown, “I-I’m s-sorry! I can’t!” He said, he shook his head then looked back at Moon, his eyes were now as red as the flames surrounding them.

Darkheart reared up, then landed with a force like an earthquake. Moon looked around, as the ground cracked, and trees split in half, then she looked back to see Darkheart flying away, lashing his flame covered tail angrily
