Hello everyone!
I was waiting a little bit to post this challenge because there are so many right now, but I think it will be fine to post it now (mainly because there is not an entry due date yet). In this challenge, I want you to take one of your pets, and turn it into a pegasus. I turned my little Riven (A shetland sheepdog) into a palomino pinto pony;
The drawing was done quickly and sloppily so I had an example for you all xD. I will be continuing to draw my pets as horses, because I’m slightly obsessed.
Anyways, so draw them as a pegasus. It’s pretty simple, but a few key components I would choose to put into the drawing would be markings, colors, etc. I would interpret their colors into an existent horse color, but it is absoltuely fine if you just go with it. Pegasi are mythical creatures, anyways! XD

1st Place: A full body shot of any OC. (Or ship)
2nd Place: A headshot of any OC. (Or ship)
3rd Place: A headshot of your favorite character. (Or ship)
4th and Onward: Any feather(s) of your choosing, or a headshot.
If any of you would like me to change any of the prizes, please just ask!
Rules are pretty straight forward; Tracing (while tracing can help you get better, I would prefer to see your raw talent). Copying, etc.
I don’t mind if you use reference photos! Reference photos are AWESOMELY helpful!!!
NOTE: I will not be judging on the best drawing. I will mostly be judging on design. (For instance, if you had a very tall dog that was lighter in color and you made them a Desert Herd steed because height+lighter color= Desert Herd, then I would be thoroughly impressed and delighted!)
Some of you may be asking, “Well, what if we don’t have a pet?” I have two options if you still would like to join in on the challenge:
1) Look up a picture of the pet you want (cat, dog, Komodo dragon, kangaroo, etc (Jokes haha don’t actually adopt a Komodo dragon or kangaroo please xd ) ) and then turn them into a pegasus!
2) Well, there isn’t really a second option..... Maybe base the pegasus off one of your favorite animals! (This sounds like soooo much fun! )

Hazel is all white with brindle spots, I know maybe not a real horse color but whatever!! Her wings are purple tipped in red then outlined in black, this is for her collars. Her main collar is purple, and then she has a shock collar that is red with the actual shock thing being black, and we only use it to keep her at the house she likes to run away!! XD and no her brindle blaze is not actually something that she has, I thought it would just be cute to put in! Anyways here is a picture of Dog Hazel!!

This is my oc pegasus based off of a German shorthair dog and a hawks wings. I actually came up with this idea a week ago lol it's a sign. Desert herd.
Should I draw her black and white or should I alter her colors? She has a little bit of brown on her sides so I can do like a sooty bay I guess

How have I not seen this!!!!! Anyways im definetly joining! My dog will be interesting because she is a greyhound border collie mix, so Id say Desert herd, but she is black and white. Hmmm this is gonna be hard.
She more or less looks like this, I dont have a picture of her right now. The marking are different and she is short haired not long haired, but the body and color are the same.

I have two drawings because I couldn't decide which one to do
This is Pepperstar she is based off my dog Pepper a mini schnauzer that is white, brown, and gray, but mostly gray. She also has a pink collar. What's weird is that when she was a puppy she was jet black. I would consider her a Mountain Herd mare because she is agile, aggressive at times, and she sorta has the right coloring for it
This is Lightray and she is based off of my past dog Maddie who was a golden brown Chow with a red collar. I would consider her a Sun Herd mare because she was (😭😭😭😭😭) a VERY playful and fun dog but she was also very loyal, she also has the right coloring. At the same time I would also consider her a Desert Herd steed but I just chose between the two

Here's my drawing!
This is the pegasus version of my 'loyal' border collie named Chase. Since his fur coloring isn't exactly a natural coloring for equine, decided to changed it up bit. However, I did try to maintain his black on brown on white coloration as much as possible.
I figure that since his colors are somewhat vibrant, he would most likely be a Sun Herd steed which would probably work for him since he LOVES taking naps in the sun XD. Plus, he also LOVES running in open grassy areas. As for his pegasus name (because why not XD), I was thinking Chasewind would cute.

I just had an idea for wing colors! If you have a dog color, maybe use the color of it for feathers....?
