I drew this for @ ThunderHeart (Oaksong)'s Oc with TGH character Contest

To give some explanation for this, my prompts for this challenge were 'Frostfire' and 'sadness'. As soon as I found out, I knew immediately that I had to pick my OC Snowfrost to draw with him. The reason for this, for those of you who don't know, is that Snowfrost is the imagined third foal sired by Icewing and therefore Frostfire's half-brother. Admittedly, I had no idea how I was going to pull this off since part of Snowfrost's whole story is that after he learned the identity of his father, he chose to keep that fact on the downlow, so I wanted them to be visibly separated, but since of course the challenge is to put them in the same picture I knew I need to figure something out. So, after scrolling though way to many pictures on Pinterest, I finally decided on using a broken window as a kind of frame for the photo. Once I got started with the drawing, I realized that I need to figure out what to do with the remaining two panes that I ended up with so I figured, why not increase the sad vibes of this picture by including one of Icewing/Iceriver's feathers and Lightfeather's grave to the picture to kinda represent not only the whole blood line but also how separated each of the members of this family are from each other.

Admittedly, I'm always nervous when I chose to take on a project like this, but I'm actually really happy with how it turned out.
