Hey Guys!!

This is just a teeny weeny announcement. I will be going on a digital art strike for a bit! That means, I'm going to focus mainly on traditional art. The reason is is that I got a new sketchbook and pencils for Christmas today and I want to practice with them! So, that means, most of your Art Trades with me will be traditional for a while! (ALSO, if I owe you an art drawing, PLEASE remind me! I may have forgotten a couple of you due to me having a LOT of drawings to do, XD I thought I could just remember, but NOOOO, I'm nervous I forgot a couple of you! So please let me know what I promised to draw you guys! Thanks! XD)

OH! Here's a picture of the drawing I did today to practice with my new pencils!

Sorry for the bad quality, XD I'll need to practice TAKING the pictures too, LOL!

I would LOVE for you to tell me how to draw dapples River! @Skysun can you draw my OC Twilight? she’s black a large star that goes all the way to her forelock. four white stockings and white tipped wings.

ok! so, for me, I like to do shade/color normally, making the body slightly lighter than it would have been with the dapples, then, with a dark gray or black pencil/whatever medium you're using, I just draw random circles, making them fairly dark or light, depending on how you want it. Try making them close together, and then spread farther apart as they get to areas where there are less/no dapples. here''s and example of a dapple gray I used the method for:

see how the dapples get lighter in some places and darker in others? I would also recommend looking at real dapple gray horses for referance and maybe some drawings of dapple grays, too, to see how other people do them. hope this will help!

NICE! Also, if you have a scanner it's SUPER easy and gets most if not all of the details and is WAY easier than taking pictures. Also, (if you forgot XD) when are you going to do the Starpebble headshot?
