I know someone named Crystal, and I don't think she's ever had it shorten to Cry before, but then again I don't know her very well. And I'm going to have to agree with Stardust about changing my name, even though both my first and last name are some what hard to pronounce

I think Crystal is a pretty name as well! It sounds like you've really thought this through. However, I don't think I would ever change my name.
I made up my mind that if I had been called Crystal, my nickname would be Cry (which I am just now realising sounds really edgy)
