Let’s be honest. I’m 100% Steven universe fan girl. That’s probably the most partially normal thing about me. Nah that’s not normal is it? XD

AND YOU GUYS ARE GONNA BE CONFUSED WHEN I SAY THIS BUUUUT- there are SO many similarities between SU and TGH’s plots. Heheheh I might do an entire post about all the similarities but for now let’s do this.

Star = Steven

NUMBER ONE! They are both entirely innocent BEANS!!! They are cute and loveable and huggable and tons of people fangirl/boy on them. NUMBER TWO!!! They were both raised hiding from the law and authority. The crystal gems did their best to protect Steven and SilverLake and Star’s friends raised the famous bean under ThunderWing’s watchful eye. NUMBER THREE!!! They both had unknown powers and looked different. Steven was a half gem, half human and he had the powers of his mother. He would never be normal among either humans or gems. Star was born colored with the most unusual color for a Pegasi, and had starfire. NUMBER FOUR!!! Both were bullied for being different. Steven was literally almost killed tons of times by people who hated him. Star was bullied by BrackenTail and his friends. He was also wanted dead ;(

There are plenty more similarities but I do want to move on...

SilverLake = Garnet

They are both extremely protective of the one who they were told to protect. Garnet would happily be shattered for Steven’s sake and is definitely a good momma. SilverLake defended Star despite her mate’s wishes. This was at the risk of being cast out, or even killed. In the end she was kicked out of the herd.

BrackenTail = Lapis

BrackenTail was raised to hurt and bully Star. Lapis was made in, or at least worked in home world, which was out to get Steven and the Crystal gems. BrackenTail eventually became close friends with Star and was happy to be a part of his herd. Lapis warmed up to Steven and, like BrackenTail, became friends with him. They were also both VERY sassy, and VERY rude. Also like.. really hot.
